Grape Republic Dela Fresca, Yamagata, Japan

Made with Delaware grapes from Yamagata Prefecture and a small amount of Steuben, this wine is a blend of Delaware pressed after 24 hours of skin contact and directly pressed Delaware. The Steuben is directly pressed just before bottling and added while sugar content remains, allowing fermentation to continue in the bottle. No antioxidants are added.

It opens with a candy-like aroma typical of table grape varieties, layered with tropical fruit, especially banana, and a yogurt-like lactic note. As the name suggests, the palate is fresh, echoing the tropical fruit from the nose, followed by a pleasant bitterness reminiscent of citrus peel. Bright carbonation adds lift, leading to a crisp, refreshing finish.

This wine has an alcohol level of 11.5%.
